Just wanted to say a Happy Thanksgiving to all of my clients from Kristen Leigh Photography. I really am so thankful for all of the returning and new families I have gotten to meet this year. It’s truly an honor to be able to capture such special moments for you. Thank you for all of the kind words and referrals! It means so much to me ♥️ I thank the Lord for this gift He has given me and opportunities He has given me. I have met some of the sweetest people this year and am looking forward to what He has in store for the future😊

I love capturing kids just being kids. One of my favorite things is letting them run around, burn off energy, or run to their parents—it always brings out the best smiles. If you have young kids and book a session with me, please don’t ever feel bad or apologize if they don’t sit still or say “cheese.” I completely understand that little ones aren’t made to just sit and pose, which is why I love using fun and natural prompts and just capturing sweet interaction shots.

I feel like many parents may worry that their child won’t smile or look at the camera, but there’s no need to put that pressure on yourself. While I’ll always aim for a couple of “posed” shots, I truly love capturing candid, genuine moments. I just feel like this needed to be said from the perspective of a photographer for parents that have little ones that maybe are scared to book a session because you are fearful of how your child may act or may not “pose perfectly.” I love letting kids just be kids ♥️
